OFF ROAD TOURS
How about a guided off-road tour?
Our innocent-looking island has some gnarly, kickin' singletrack
let the Bloomfield Bicycle Company show you the very best of them.

Meet your local, smart, experienced mountain bike guide at the bike shop. The first thing to do is fit your bike to you properly and make sure you are comfortable with how the gears and the brakes work on your bike. Once the waivers have been signed and a quick test ride proves that all is good between you and your bike, it's time for the warm up portion of the ride. This is usually the short ride to the trails. Don't worry, your guide knows where you're going!

Rides for the first-timer and for the pro, sweeping downhills that lead
to cappuccino breaks all on tight, twisty singletrack and look-out vistas
that make that whole, rocky climb worthwhile
.

After a great morning of trail exploration and some good focused practice on challenging obstacles it's time for a quick cool-down spin to Picton for Lunch. There's a table at a sidewalk cafe waiting for you. No need to lock your bikes up – they're right at the table with you. Order your heart's desire in the European ambience and treat yourself to desert! No-one wants to jump right on the bike with all that yummy lunch in your belly, so enjoy some downtime on Main Street. Browse at the bookstore. Buy Theatre tickets for tonight. Write some postcards and mail them. Relax and read the paper at thc cafe.

Our guides are all experienced local riders who can show you the very best
in each local trail. F
irst-aid certified and equipped for both you and your bike,
they're full of technical skills tips (and lots of other stuff too :))

Flow through the afternoon trails, newly nourished and ready to achieve anything you set your bike to. Take a yoga break at the lookout and snack on dried fruit beside an elven, moss-covered waterfall. Follow your guide: slipping through trees into invisible entryways that lead to secret, sweet trails. The wind in the golden, afternoon sunshine leaves is all that you can hear in the Hemlock Forests and the Cedar stands. Cruise back to the shop, or your B&B, either on your bike or in the comfort of our Adventure Support Vehicle. You are tired, dirty, a little beat-up and smiling all the way to dinner.
